Running Fedora 23 on the Gigabyte BRIX 1900
The BRIX comes without RAM and storage with the following specs:
- Quad Core Intel Celeron J1900
- 1 x Gigabit ethernet interface
- 1 x Wi-Fi (Realtek RTL8723BE)
- 1 x Bluetooth
- 2 x USB 2.0 ports
- 1 x USB 3.0 port
- 1 x VGA port
- 1 x HDMI port
- 1 x combined audio port
To which I added:
- 1 x Crucial 8GB DDR3 PC3-12800 Unbuffered NON-ECC 1.35V DIMM
- 1 x 120GB Kingston 2.5" SATA 3 SSD
Install Fedora 23
Fedora 23 (64bit) installed fine using the default BIOS settings in UEFI mode.

Issues
While Fedora installed and booted fine there was a couple of issues while
running.
Hangs
The system was prone to completely hanging after a period of use. This is a
known issue with at least some Baytrail systems. See this
bug. For
me, booting with intel_idle.max_cstate=1 seems to hide that issue.
Wi-Fi stops working
After a period of time the Wi-Fi can stop working. This seems to be some sort
of power management issue and can be worked around by disabling some of the
power management stuff in the module. i.e
